Emeric Paul Bordelon
(December 4, 1941 -  February 9, 2015)

 

Funeral Services for Emeric Paul Bordelon will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2015, in the chapel of Kramer of Fifth Ward, with Rev. Irion St. Romain officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, Mansura. 
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 , and will resume on Thursday from 8 a.m. until time of service, at the funeral home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, by Deacon Ted Moulard, in the Kramer Chapel.

Emeric Paul Bordelon, 73, of Marksville passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy P. and Remmie Normand Bordelon.
Emeric was a retired carpenter, and lifelong resident of Avoyelles. He loved the outdoors, whether it was spending time on his tractor, fishing, caring for the numerous stray animals, or just enjoying life. Emeric also loved spending time with his family and friends, to which he gave a nickname to all. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to many who will be dearly missed. 
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 34 years, Florence Bordelon of Marksville; two sons, Emeric Paul Bordelon, Jr. of Jena, and Earnest Bordelon of Brookhaven, MS; two daughters, Billie Jo Bordelon of Jena, and Jackie Bonnette of Marksville; two step daughters, Christy Prejean and Rachella “Rocky” Lambert both of Mansura; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; along with one sister, Geneva Turner (Ronnie) of Evergreen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Emeric was a 1959 graduate of Cottonport High School and attended Evergreen High School for his first eleven grades.
