About Evergreen

October 18, 2008

The Original 50's Boogie Kings entertained hundreds of their loyal fans at Lop's Camp in Eunice on October 18, 2008 for Lopstock #7.  Upwards of 500 people enjoyed the pleasant weather and wonderful music, while many danced to their favorite songs.

The intimate setting allowed for free-flowing communications between band members and fans and provided excellent opportunities for reliving many fond memories of yester-year.

A variety of singers pleased the croud with such songs as All These Things, Walking to New Orleans, Harlem Shuffle, I Won't Cry, Midnight Hour, At Last, Crazy, Breaking Up is Hard To Do, I've Been Loving You Too Long, Georgia, Soul Man and many more.
Some of the singers included Caroline Vienne, Jolayne Miller, Skip Stewart, Bert Miller, Gregg Martinez, Doug Ardoin, Mark Klein, and Jivin' Gene.  Lopstock #7 began shortly after 2:00 p.m.  and continued until 7:00.

Some of the musicians who returned to share their talents included: Doug Ardon, Bert Miller, W.J. "Dub" Dugas, Earl Taylor, Mike Pollard, Bryan Leger, Skip Stewart, Robert Wilson, Lynn Fournet, Sidney Janise.

In addition to Louisiana, friends came from Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK; Florida; Georgia; and Texas.
