Lula Mae Terry O'Neal

Funeral services for Lula Mae Terry O'Neal will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at the Bayou Rouge Baptist Church of the Bro. David Trimbur and Gary Purvis officiating and David Townsend providing the music. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. O'Neal, 94, of Evergreen, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the Bayou Vista Nursing Home, Bunkie.

She was a member of the Bayou Rouge Baptist Church for most of her 94 years where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was a loving wife and homemaker. Love and laughter with her family and friends made her be loved by all.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn V. O'Neal; her parents, William B. and Lula Maude Clark Terry; four brothers, Adolphus J. Terry, William Brun Terry, Jr., Dana "Mike" Terry, Mervyn D. "Cotton" Terry; and a sister, Rachel T. Craig.

Survivors include her brother, George "Pickle" Terry and his wife Mercedes of Evergreen and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie and 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the Bayou Rouge Baptist Church in Evergreen.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Bayou Rouge Baptist Cemetery, P.O. Box 237, Evergreen, LA 71333.
