Mrs. Louisa, age 90, of Marksville passed away on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009 in the OakMont Estates. Mrs. Louisa, as everyone knew her, taught school for fifty years, in Cottonport, Evergreen and Marksville. She loved teaching and was known for treating everyone equally. Many of her former students have said that she was the best teacher that they ever had. She graduated from USL in 1937. She was also a Catechism teacher and was a very charitable individual, helping many people without them knowing that she had done the deed. She loved people and she never met a stranger. She will be missed by her friends and family. She is survived by her husband, Roy L. Bordelon of Marksville; one daughter, Ann McClenahan of Gonzales, LA; one sister, Patricia "Patsy" Tassin of Cottonport and one granddaughter, Molly McClenahan of Huntington Beach, CA. Visitation will be at the Rose Neath - Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Acton Road, in Marksville from 4 pm - 8 pm on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009 and from 10 am - 10:45 am on Monday.

Pelican Footnote:  Louise was a former Evergreen faculty member.
