Clifford J. (Frosty) Couvillion

Services for Mr. Clifford J. (Frosty) Couvillion, age 84, of Cottonport were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2008 at St. Marys Assumption Catholic Church with Anthony Dhamarajh officiating. Burial was in St Marys Assumption Mausoleum in Cottonport under the direction of Escude' Funeral HOme of Cottonport.

Mr. Couvillion died in Baton Rouge on Thursday, September 19, 2008.

He was a retired Postmaster at Cottonport Post Office, a U.S. Army Veteran of World War 11, and recipient of the Purple Heart, he served in several Pacific Campaigns during the war.

During his illness he was being cared for by daughter-in-law Kathy and son Cornell.

Mr Couvillion was preceded in death by his father, Henry H. Couvillion; mother, Gladys Cappel Couvillion; and brother, Daniel Couvillion.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille Couvillion of Cottonport; son Cornell Couvillion and wife Kathy of Baton Rouge, two sisters, Pat Tassin of Cottonport and Louisa C. Bordelon of Marksville; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

Family requests donations be made to St. Joseph's Hospice, 8923 Bluebonnet Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70810.
