A Mass of Christian Burial for Adelice Jeansonne Ducote will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010 at Church of the Little Flower in Evergreen with Fr. Bartholomew Ibe officiating.

Mrs. Ducore, age 77, of Bunkie, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010 at the Bayou Vista Manor Nursing Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.J. Ducote; her parents, Wintis and Edimas Aymond Jeansonne, a brother, Milburn Jeansonne and a sister, Earline J. Lambert. Adelice was a loving woman with a great sense of humor and style. She was a lifetime Saints fan. She was always in a good mood, saying "I still got it" and "I feel good!"

She is survived by her son, Craig Ducote of New York, NY; four daughters, Bonnie Smith and husband, Sid, of League City, TX, Linda Quartermont and husband, Ken, of Evergreen, Christine Knight and Mike of Franklinton, LA, and Debra Dufour of St. Louis, MO; two brothers, Wintis Jeansonne, Jr. of Bunkie and Lawrence Jeansonne of Bunkie; three sisters, Annabelle Blanchard of Evergreen, Cynthia Gremillion of Moreauville and Burnelle Rabalais of Plaucheville; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bayou Vista Manor Nursing Center for the excellent care that they gave her while she lived there.

Visitation will be at Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie from 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010 with a Rosary at 7:15 p.m. and 8 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010. Please share sympathies, memories and condolences to www.melanconfunerals.com
