L.C. was the third child born to Lenora Mary Descant and Louis Clave Riche, Sr. He was born on September 26, 1934 in Bayou Rouge, Louisiana and was a member of the 1952 EHS graduation class.

L.C. entered the Marine Corps in January 26, 1953 and was honorably discharged on January 26, 1956 at the rank of Buck Sergeant. He completed his Marine Corp training at Camp Pendleton, CA.  He was stationed in Korea and Japan in 1953-54 for 17 months. 

L.C. and Peggy Diaville of Plaucheville married on June 14, 1958. The couple had five children (Darlene, Belinda, Louis III, June Renee, Jason), eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

From February 3, 1956 until September 25, 1987 L.C. worked in the body shop of  Duplesis Cadillac in Baton Rouge. He also had a body shop at home from 1980 until the present.
